Voice Pan Wrap

Controls: Sgram/PT Dialog >> Pitch-to-MIDI >> Setup
Changes: PWv=n

Normally, when Pan Scan is active, the effective scan step reverses direction when the Pan Position reaches full Left or Right. This causes the effective position to "reflect" off the ends of the range.

When Pan Wrap is active, the scan direction is not reversed: The effective position "wraps" from one side to the other in one step, and the scanning continues in the same direction.

This effect is often disconcerting when used on a single voice. When used with multiple voices that have the same Scan values but different Pan Positions, the overall effect is similar to rotation, as though the instruments were on a revolving sound stage.

MIDI Changes Script:

PWv=n sets the Pan Wrap state for Voice v to the value of n, which may be any unsigned integer or valid expression, including current MIDI control values, random values, current computer keyboard states or mouse position, input or buffered notes, or oscillators. If the value is zero, Pan Wrap is off; any other value sets it on.

Alternatively, you can use x instead of a value to toggle the current state. For example, PW2=x toggles the current Pan Wrap state for Voice 2.

You can use "voice" 9 to set or toggle Pan Wrap for all 8 voices at once.
