File Polarity Inversion

Controls: Calibration Menu >> User Units >> User Line
Macro: UserInv

There is a small button to the left of the Units/Volt control that is marked with a '+' sign and is disabled for live data operation. This button is only enabled for file analysis, and enables you to invert the polarity of the channel when User Units and User Line Enable are active. (For live data, the Range and External Gain dialogs allow polarity changes. Those dialogs are not available for file data.)

If you invert the polarity of a file channel (button depressed, showing '-') and then re-save the file as a .DQA type, that channel polarity will be saved. When you later re-open that file, it will show the inverted polarity.

This allows you to preset a polarity inversion for a specific channel that is active whenever User Units is active. You can toggle that via ALT+U at any time, even when this dialog is not visible.

If the file is a .DQA or .WAV type, closing it after changing the polarity or the Units/Volt (with User Units active and the line enabled so the changes are visible) will result in a prompt to save the changed file.

Macro Notes:

If a data file is loaded and the relevant User Line dialog is open, UserInv=1 will invert, UserInv=0 will restore, and UserInv=x will toggle the invert state.

To change this control directly when the dialog is not open, use a Uxx. prefix before the macro command to specify which line it refers to, as in UIL.UserInv=1.

UIL. and UIR. prefixes specify Left and Right Input lines, while UOL. and UOR. specify Output lines.
