Spectrum Averager Artifact Rejection Limits

Controls: Spect Avg Dialog >> Artifact Reject
Macros: SpavgArt, SpavgArtPos, SpavArtNeg

Any frame that has signal levels outside of the Artifact Reject Max and Min range will not be included in the spectrum average. This can allow an average to be accumulated in the presence of sporadic noise or interference.

Use the four Artifact Reject buttons to select the channels that will be monitored. An artifact on any selected channel will exclude that frame from averages on all channels.

A selected channel button has no effect if that channel is not active. To disable artifact rejection, simply toggle off all four buttons.

Note that Waveform Averager and Spectrum Averager limits and channel selections are maintained separately.

A general discussion of artifact rejection appears under Artifact Rejection Limits.

Macro Notes:

LI.SpavgArt=1 selects the Left In channel, LI.SpavgArt=0 de-selects, and LI.SpavgArt=x toggles.

Use RI.SpavgArt for Right In, LO.SpavgArt for Left Out, and RO.SpavgArt for Right Out. Alternatively, you can use Ch.SpavgArt to select or de-select a channel previously specified via the Ch Channel Select command.

SpavgArtPos=87.6 sets the upper limit to 87.6 percent of full scale. SpavgArtNeg=-98.7 sets the lower limit to -98.7 percent. Note signs: SpavgArtPos can accept negative values and SpavgArtNeg can accept positive values for special cases.
