Sound Card Spectrum Averager Controls

Macro: AvgDlg

When the Spectrum display is visible you can open the Spectrum Averager control dialog by clicking on the thin bar beneath the toolbar Averager button. You can also use CTRL+A to do this, or you can use the Edit menu (ALT+E, A).

Toggling the Spectrum display mode while the Averager control dialog is visible will cause the relevant Spectrum or Waveform Averager dialog to appear, depending upon the current display mode. However, if an average is running or done, then the dialog for that average is the only one that will be shown, regardless of display mode, until you abandon that average by toggling it off or, if it is done, by toggling the Pause state off.

Macro Notes:

AvgDlg=1 opens the Spectrum Averager dialog if the display is currently in Spectrum mode. In waveform display mode, it opens the Waveform Averager dialog. AvgDlg=0 closes the dialog, and AvgDlg=x toggles between open and closed.

Note that you do not need to open these dialogs to change their controls directly via macro command. You can even change the controls from the opposite waveform or Spectrum mode.
