Sudden Calibration ShiftIf the calibration of the sound card attenuators or Full-Scale Range, especially outputs, suddenly seems to be way off, the likely cause is that Windows has secretly "borrowed" some of the output range of the card for use by another application. Close all other sound applications and check again. Alternatively, some such application may have been open during the calibration process, but is no longer open. Repeat the calibration, making sure that all other sound applications are fully closed first. On Vista or Windows 7, 8, or 10 systems, right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and open the Volume Mixer. Make sure that the Speakers slider is all the way up, and that any other sliders besides Daqarta's own are muted by clicking on the little speaker icon below each slider. In general it is always best to fully close all other applications that use the sound card before starting Daqarta. The Volume Mixer would then show only Speakers, Windows Sounds, and Daqarta sliders. See also Troubleshooting |
