Jerky or Flickering Scrolling Display

In normal operation, Spectrogram and Pitch-to-MIDI output scrolls smoothly across the display area. If it is jerky (and/or MIDI sound has momentary pauses) it means that Daqarta is competing for Windows resources (time and memory) with some other program, even those that may be minimized to the system tray. Try closing them one at a time to find the worst offenders.

If the scrolling motion is smooth overall but the details seem to sparkle, flutter, or flicker (and MIDI sound is unaffected), that's a artifact of using increased Main Font Size to get a larger main window and trace display area.

The trace area is drawn internally at a fixed size corresponding to the default font setting of 8, and the resulting image is scaled larger when larger fonts are selected. The flicker is a result of Windows interpolation methods to stretch the display.
