Changes Script PortamentoChanges: Ov=n (Not supported by all synthesizers.) Portamento (or Glissando) is a smooth change or glide between notes, such as on a slide trombone or violin. For synthesizers that support native Portamento, this MIDI Changes script command allows you to activate it and control the glide time. Where available, Portamento typically can be applied to any instrument, not just those that would allow it in the real world. Please note: The default Microsoft GS Wavetable synthesizer does not support Portamento. The format for the Portamento command is Ov=n, where v is Voice number 1-8, an n is an unsigned integer or valid expression, which may include current MIDI control values, random values, current computer keyboard states or mouse position, input or buffered notes, oscillators, and User Variables. If n = 0, there is no Portamento action. Larger values of n cause longer glide times between notes. Low values (say, under 5) can allow "funky" guitar sounds. High values may be used for special effects. You may use "voice" 9 to set the Portamento on voices 1-8 to the same value via a single command.
