Copying or Printing Screen ImagesWindows allows you to copy screen images to the Windows Clipboard using the PrintScreen (PrnScrn, PrtSc, etc.) key near the upper right corner of the keyboard: PrintScreen copies the entire monitor screen to the Clipboard. ALT+PrintScreen copies only the current window to the Clipboard. Important: The "current window" has a brighter title bar than the rest, and the [X] in the upper right corner is shown in red. It may be a pop-up option like the Voltmeter or a control dialog instead of the main Daqarta window. If you want to copy the main Daqarta screen, including the trace area, you can first click on its title bar to make it the current window. A copy of the main Daqarta window will include all other dialogs or portions of dialogs that lie within its boundaries. You can drag the lower right corner of the window to crop out unwanted portions of the image, or enlarge it to include overlapping or outlying dialogs. Once you have copied the image, you can paste it into another application or document that accepts Clipboard images. Place the cursor at the desired location and hit CTRL+V. To print the image after pasting it, select Print from the target application's File menu. Windows Paint is a simple image editor that is present on all standard Windows systems in Start - Programs - Accessories. You can copy Daqarta images into Paint and edit them as desired, perhaps to crop out everything but the trace area. You can then save them in any of several file formats, or print them. Note that you can use the Main and Dialog Font Size controls in the Start Preferences dialog to control the image size. (You'll need to restart Daqarta for changes to take effect.) This will generally give better results than scaling up or down with an image editor. A Font size of 8 will give the smallest image and resultant file size. |
