Load MIDI Setup Controls: Sgram/PT Dialog >> Pitch-to-MIDI >> Load Setup
The Load Setup button is near the bottom of the Pitch-to-MIDI dialog. You can activate this at any time to change the MIDI setup to one that has been previously saved. If you click on Load Setup you will see all the setups you can choose from. A MIDI setup file (.DQM file) includes all information from the Pitch-to-MIDI dialog and its children, plus Track Limits, Pitch Hysteresis, and +/-Octaves settings from the Pitch Track Toolbox. It also includes the main Daqarta Notes text, which can hold comments about such settings. However, it does not include any other main Daqarta settings, such as Trigger controls or Trace Update interval, which can have a large effect on Pitch-to-MIDI behavior. Note: The current values of all Pitch-to-MIDI settings are saved automatically when Daqarta exits, and restored upon start, just as if you had manually saved and loaded them as a MIDI Setup. Note that loading a new MIDI Setup will load new values for the above-mentioned Pitch Track controls, which may result in changed behavior for non-MIDI uses like simple pitch viewing. In particular, since the Track Limits controls are the same as the Spectrum Track controls, spectral peak tracking behavior may be changed. Macro Notes: LoadDQM= without a name will open the File Open dialog showing all .DQM files, but with no default name. LoadDQM="MyFile" will open the File Open dialog with the default name set to MyFile. (Note that quotes are needed around all filenames in macros.) If you accept this by hitting Enter or the Open button in that dialog, Daqarta will assume you want to open a file named MyFile.DQM and will fail if that file is not found. After either of the above commands that invokes a File Open dialog, you may use IF.Posn?f=0 to see if the user has hit Cancel to exit without choosing a file name. This allows your macro to exit gracefully or take other action. A.LoadDQM="MyFile" will open MyFile.DQM directly, without any File Open dialog. Note that this will load the specified MIDI setup without saving changes to the existing setup, if any. LoadDQM can use string variables and expressions. For example, LoadDQM=Field1 will use the contents of Field1 as the default file name, and A.LoadDQM=Field1 will load a file of that name directly. Similarly, if the Macro Variable Var0 holds a value of 12, then LoadDQM="Test"+Var0 will set a default file name of Test12. If you expect to use a large series of files, you can use LoadDQM="Test"+Var0(3) (for example) to set the decimal format to 3 integer places to get Test012. This will allow proper sorting by file name.
