Revision History - v3.01

Daqarta v3.01 - 22 January 2007:

Bug Fix: Incompatibilities with mixer controls on certain sound cards prevented proper input line selection, level control operation, and/or synthesizer access.

Bug Fix: When using Windows Mixer instead of Daqarta to change mixer settings on certain sound cards, a program crash could result.

Bug Fix: Auto-Calibration failed due to wrong AutoCal.GEN file in release version. Settings obtained by initial scan for undistorted signal were not used in actual calibration, resulting in erroneous dB step changes. Improved distortion scan now adjusts mixer for best results, repeats with lower Generator Level as needed (up to -12 dB total Level reduction).

Bug Fix: Duplex Delay calibration did not complete all input and output channel combinations.

Bug Fix: Auto and Auto Level trigger modes gave spurious untriggered trace updates when Trace Update Interval was low compared to Sample Rate, such that under 1024 samples were acquired per Trace Update Interval.

Distortion Limit (Dist Limit) control added to Auto-Calibration dialog.

Default Trace Update Interval set to 10 msec for WinNT, 2000, and XP systems.

Changed averager "sweeps" to "frames" to avoid confusion with frequency sweeps.

Added Event Counting application note.

Daqarta now allows installation to and running from a folder other than Program Files, enabling operation from a removable drive such as a USB flash memory stick. This also allows non-Adminstrator users to install and run Daqarta on Windows XP (which restricts access to Program Files).
