Generator Auto-Mute

Controls: Edit Menu >> Run Preferences >> Auto-Mute
Macro: GenMute

When this box is checked, Daqarta automatically mutes the sound card Master Out and Wave Out volume whenever the Generator is off.

The function of this checkbox is duplicated in the Auto buttons above the Volume Slider and dB Slider dialog Mute buttons.

This checkbox will be disabled if your sound card does not support the Mute function.

Mute disables the output sound without changing the visible volume control settings.

Muting may reduce residual output noise and hiss on some sound cards when the Generator is off. However, it may also block other applications that attempt to use the outputs of the sound card, such as voice synthesizers for visually impaired users.

Note that when other applications that use the Wave outputs are active, Windows may reduce Daqarta's effective volume control range without notice. This may result in incorrect absolute and relative output calibration.
