Sweep Start Frequency

Macro: ToneFreq

This is actually just a copy of the main wave Freq control. In addition to all its usual features, and use of the Frequency Entry Mode control below it, note that the direction of the sweep (up or down) is controlled by the Start-to-End order: If Start is lower than End, the sweep moves upward. Reverse the order to reverse the direction.

See Ratios and Octaves if you want to set Start and End such that they define an octave or fractional octave about a specified center frequency.

The resolution of this and all Generator frequency displays may be set between 0 and 9 decimal places via the Frequency Places option in the Frequency Step Mode dialog, invoked by clicking the button below this Start Frequency control. (The button shows the current Step Mode, which defaults to Step Direct.)

Macro Notes:

Since this control is a duplicate of the main Tone Frequency control, it uses the same ToneFreq command discussed in that topic.
