Saints.DQM MIDI Setup

When this setup is loaded, right-clicking on the Pitch-to-MIDI title bar or any non-control portion of the dialog will open Help at this topic.

Saints.DQM is a DaqMusiq setup of "When The Saints Go Marching In", with the melody on Voice 1 and the chord accompaniment on Voice 2. Percussion voice instruments A and B are also used, with the Velocity Patterns of '88006600' and '00880066' as for Joshua.DQM.

The complete Changes script (with comments added) is:

{4                  ;Loop 4 times
W=8 UA=?(0,118)     ;Wait 8 beats, random User A
I1=UA oLi=UA ;User A to melody inst, show name
IA=?(27,87)         ;Random Percussion A instrument
W=8 UB=?(0,118)     ;Wait 8 beats, random User B
I2=UB oRi=UB ;User B to chord inst, show name
IB=?(27,87)         ;Random Percussion B instrument
}                   ;Loop (64 beats total)
W=4                 ;Wait 4 beats
XP=x                ;Toggle Percussion

This script is very similar to that for Joshua.DQM, with the addition of random percussion instrument selection as well as melody and chord instruments.

There is also an added 4-beat wait before toggling Percussion, such that it is on or off for 68 beats at a time. Note that when it is off, the A and B instruments are still set randomly just as when it is on, even though these will not be heard.
